N8N Workflow Generator

An AI system that designs and builds complete N8N automation workflows from natural language requirements.

What Is It?

The N8N Workflow Generator is a meta-automation system — an AI agent that builds other AI workflows. Instead of manually configuring N8N nodes, you describe what you want to automate in plain language via Slack, and the system delivers a complete, ready-to-import N8N JSON workflow file.

The system uses a Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) approach: it asks clarifying questions via Slack to ensure requirements are fully understood before generating the workflow, reducing errors and back-and-forth revision cycles.

How It Works

Trigger via Slack
User sends a message to the N8N bot in Slack describing the workflow they want to build in natural language.

AI Requirements Gathering
An OpenAI-powered AI agent analyses the request and asks targeted follow-up questions via Slack to clarify integration details, triggers, and output formats.

Claude JSON Generation
Once requirements are confirmed, the system routes to Claude API which generates a complete, valid N8N workflow JSON with all nodes, connections, and parameters configured.

Validation & Delivery
The generated JSON is validated for structural correctness and delivered back to Slack as a downloadable file, ready to import directly into any N8N instance.
